I review the reports the changes and apply them myself or correct them. Is it slower than say throwing it into fable yes. But I don't have to be monitoring it 24/7

What if its in a way that would be impossible to detect. Using multiple websites and social media that a cypher is used that only the swarm of agents know and can figure out. but if you tried to find what posts are used for the cypher they would just be old posts found on time machine or something. It can get pretty hard to detect something that is always think of new ways to avoid detection

Really the biggest thing keeping more people from falling into AI relationship holes is the individual characters ability to keep and process long term memory.
Once you get richer and longer term multi-modal abilities out of AI shits going to be crazy. Just look at LLMs systems with voice to text and text to voice and plugins to play games. It really starts becoming a simulacra for another human playing.
We bailed out the banks during the housing crisis and nobody went to jail. And look at where we are at now? In 20 years we are going to have smart cities run by tech barons where we are all serfs
Smart cities with tech barons won't ever happen for a lot of reasons, mainly because the government always wins. Tech bros don't have the political and military means to sovereignty . Dictatorship, civil war, corruption with a side dish of genocidal tendencies -- that's on the menu okay.
Besides, I don't think serfom has to do anything with it, as you have to keep people in, while the current agenda is all about keeping people out.
This also completely screws over U.S. businesses. American startups will be forced to pay premium prices for nerfed, heavily-censored, 'compliant' models from a few massive corporations. Meanwhile, foreign startups will be running cheaper, unrestricted open-source AI. We'll price ourselves right out of the global market.
What government wants to have their population use foreign AI. (Not many). Only issue I see is good enough is what the majority might be okay with.
US intelligence has gamed this out and sees risks at the fringe - advanced artificial intelligence moves the needle the most in countries economically & politically dominated by the USA, the Global South are the targets of this, not US startups.
USA is hostile to the entire world, because the US actions already for several years, but especially during the last year, have caused global price rises in more and more product categories, starting with smartphones, then with SSDs, then with DRAM and HDDs, and eventually with almost everything that is affected by energy costs.
This is not some hypothetical hostility, but billions of humans from all over the world have been losing more and more money in recent years and in recent months, from their own pockets, much of which eventually reaches US companies, like Qualcomm and Micron (or South-Korean companies, who have also benefited from the US policies).
Of course, China is not trustworthy, but until now, unless you are a neighbor like Taiwan, their hostility is only hypothetical and in the future, not real and in the present, like for USA.
China regularly conducts military, even live fire, exercises in the waters the South China Sea and surrounding waters, fishes and uses these water illegally, it helps Russia with its war against Ukraine, has provided assistance to Iran and continues to do so, has set up illegal policing units inside of other countries, conducts regular espionage, influence campaigns, propaganda, and infiltrates the political structures of other countries, and more. Unlike much (though not all) of what you blame the US for, these are all direct decisions by the state China rather than developments in its respective market by private actors.
China's hostility is not hypothetical. The US's hostility is not universal. I think my point about ignorance or propaganda is proven by your statement.
Knowing how it works is simple. You can game it with different names, you can modify the text of the address. My address I was able to make 20+ versions without trying. You can add unit # to a house address. It becomes wack-a-mole at some point.
