The free, open internet keeps chugging along (for better or worse) regardless of how many ads I block. Especially those companies who run ad networks.
Feel free to make a moral judgement on those who block ads, because most everyone who is blocking ads has already made a judgement about online advertising and its surveilling bedfellows.
Encourage forks and wait for actual experienced, committed maintainers of the fork to emerge I suppose is the way. In essence the maintainers are saying the path to trusted contributor and then to maintainer via outside unsolicited pull requests is less useful because the signals of a committed person in that path have become less useful.

It's a chute you shovel crap into (or out of), with no justifiable expectation of useful results. The interview process as a whole is a crapshoot, but the process of understanding the candidate is a crap chute.
Seconding this. Great game. My favorite part is the xp modifier you get from really long kill streaks, something that exists in many games (like diablo) but really adds a fun twist to the grindy combat.
