unfortunately for me at least the handwriting recognition still seems to be at the "Eat Up, Martha" phase https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlG_uEd1we0

this basically vindicates everyone who has a streaming account _and_ feels like everything they say "suddenly pops up in an online ad the next day"

Yep, we were looking in the wrong place the whole time, it wasn't the phones.

i got a "dumb" sony one, the runt of its laser line but 5+ years later i havent changed it nor anticipate i'll need to, nothing better looking than hdr10 exists anyway, and the laser projectors are easily visible even in daytime with basic curtains down

> Self-analyzing and staring in the window

you say this like it's a negative thing :( have you tried it?

It just gets me how some people are telling me what to do in my free time in such a condescending way.

Social media companies are also telling you what to do in your free time- they're just doing it in a much more subtle, pernicious way that goes straight to our dopamine pathways.

after i switched to washing my hands with antibacterial soap (the orange kind they use in hospitals), i've gone from a bimonthly cold-analog disease to maybe being sick twice a year

If you're getting colds that often (and you're not immuno-compromised) then it might be worth getting checked out.

I was getting sick constantly, and it turned out I had chronic sinusitis, and surgery made it much much better.

(Just friendly advice, I know nothing about your situation).

doctors kept pitching tonsillectomy to me; i'm just hesitant of the knife :(

glad it was just poor hygiene :P

If you have tonsilitis / tonsil stones, that means you have a biofilm there and it’s a very common place for that to happen.

Regular mouthwash and even antibiotics won’t get rid of it, but a solution of vinegar, lemon juice and salt will.

It helps, but it is a very painful recovery

Washing your hands is not only about your own health, it is also about other people's health.

Maybe you could get the same quality of life improvement without decreasing other's.

"sign up now and get free peptides your macrocolony needs to immunemogg those bacteria!"

So if I sign up for like 6 months, could I get 25% off?

imagine you had to pay to turn the radio _off_, otherwise you would have to listen to ads the entire time

> The new macs look nice

theyre a nice stepstone but after a couple years on a macbook im looking at just using my fedora desktop fulltime

there seems to be at least one service that your LLM can find if it searches the internet (e.g. in my case "best rental API") that poisons your context into thinking that that one service is the definitive and only available API for that data

> the system prefers to breed anxiety

a happy consumer consumes less than an anxious one :(

They’re also more dependent upon the state.
