IMO it’s the 2 party system in the US that make it more vulnerable for things like this to happen

I'm in favor of Rank Choice Voting for this reason. Our system makes 3rd party votes hard or impossible, so instead of voting for who you like, you have to vote for who you dislike the least.

Let people vote for who they like the most without fear of their vote bolstering a candidate they really don't like. We should start exposing kids to RCV in schools. Now. It needs to not be "weird" or "hard" or propagandized as "not fair." Not fair is not being able to vote for your favorite person.

US biggest existential crisis is the fact that the opposition is always a monopoly.

So either you have a massive win, or a party will block the other forever out of spite, nothing can be accomplished and no mistake can be fixed. With more opposition groups the situation would change for good ("You don't want to make a deal with me, I will ask the third and fourth parties. The first team doing a reasonable move gets the prize").

I use vibecoding to capture UX. It's the best way of capturing requirements I've seen so far. Then once it's all captured and dies down towards requirements that are all in the "could have" category of MoSCoW, then I use AI-assisted coding (and the fun task of reading tens of thousands of source code lines) to refactor or create an entirely new application that is more technically sound.

I'm making full-stack applications at the moment.

I'm the random that says "solve Riemann make no mistakes" With Fable 5.*

It's fun! I sometimes have tokens to burn and it's instructive despite knowing nothing about the problem other than a NumberPhile video

Just reacting to the title: really? I remember a lot about my childhood and I'm in my mid thirties.

Using AI to reverse engineer xyz is a godsend quite frankly haha. Haven't tried it out on binaries yet but didn't need to (yet... ;-) )

So Schrödinger’s cat has an orthogonal state!

(not inside the box)

Actually, the third possible state is Bloody Furious.

So if I sign up for like 6 months, could I get 25% off?

Haha gave me a chuckle

> First, it's a very lengthy way to say few things.

This is I think why most people on HN don't read the article. Also in part because the comments are simply more information dense, whether it is fully about the article or not.

And I haven't read the article. I'm here for the comments.

> Have you? Be honest.

I think most people here would simply be honest, you don't need to tell them to be honest.

But maybe it's my Dutch culture interplaying, but I genuinely find the "be honest" redundant and almost an insinuation that people would not be honest on HN, which would imply people tend to veer towards being deceitful? Really? On HN?

HN is not Reddit.

Here is to hoping that GTA 6 will at some point be ready for VR. If any employee is reading this, I would be first in line to play the VR version!

If not at console launch (which seems unlikely, unless it's a "And one more thing..." feature), it'd be there by the blood and sweat of modders after the PC launch.
