Seem to be a number of works available on the topic, correct? Is the question specifically "what happened to the master's disputation?" Probably the 20th c. practice of accumulating defenses for several theses and having that count as your credential was replaced by the PhD as an early-career credential for European researchers instead of a "they only find it next to you when you die" type of summative work.

Our secondary programs in the region have a lot of AI vendor and software money flowing into them yet like you I see them (the teachers, not the AI) crafting lesson plans and assorted work with free institutional accounts for these products or personal ones. The vendors seem focused on student acts; for the teachers, there's a lot of "say your lecture into this tool and it will provide feedback on your performance" type of thing, which seems specialized.
As a style, slop is starting to settle into an aesthetic effect that's hard to find a word for, but "twee" is getting close. Anyway I can't read more than a paragraph of this crap before bailing now, it's like an allergic reaction
Was sad to hear about the fate of WMHD. Growing up in the US around that time college radio and left-of-the-dial stations were the only places you'd get introduced to different stuff.
