Maybe people want to take it as cynicism but I think you are factually correct that personal cooling, infectious disease, atypical weather and fire breaks are all more realistic topics for people too young to already have patents, connections or their own oil well.

Absolutely none of that mattered in the long run because capital markets think environmental destruction is a small price to pay as long as some people get rich.

Anything that can't be done by the company will be outsourced to a consultancy. This already happens; a lot of work in Google products is done by external agencies.
Did Google give work to external agencies because American employees couldn't do it, or because external agencies were cheaper? What happens when they are no longer cheaper w/ the government penalty?
A lot of companies reasonably prefer to outsource software work that they don't deem part of their value-add or core competency for the same reason any other company outsources that kind of work. It may or may not be a cost reason (it usually isn't because contractors are not cheap even outsourced ones), it's mostly because you don't want to increase payroll for these tasks or the tasks are of temporary nature.
This is not avoidable, and trying to make it illegal would just kill of American software companies.
As an example: a friend of mine worked for a large consultancy that worked on menu screens for gaming companies. The reason for this is that game companies aren't interested in developing specialized UIs for each game but there are outsourcing agencies that already have entire pipelines set up for this and are basically a sausage factory of game menus for most major game engines.
The best talent in the world nowadays doesn't need to move to the US and works under just a small discount of American salaries, not big enough to justify whatever the US government is asking for and certainly not under the neo-fascist regime occupying the US.

When you say weight, do you really mean obesity? And if you are talking about weight, is it likely that people who live in low gravity environments will have fewer hypertension problems?
Sure but is that the end game? Systems can respond with things like higher deductible insurance options and graduated assistance based on tax filing which may benefit people who wouldn't file before and also won't use AI for this but were already paying costs of others getting more benefits.
The EU still believes in fair markets so I don't really see a valid suggestion in the article.. Every US or Chinese seller to the EU can be de minimus, etc, so the EU lowering its standards for consumers and the environment helps mostly foreign vendors who have lower standards to meet in employment, etc.
It seems very spotty to me. I have no doubt it would be a good in some geos or if you can be roughly the cheapest of acceptable GEOS for a remote job, etc, while in other areas I don't think anyone is that serious about follow through on LinkedIn.
