The answer is to think back to the kid you used to be, but now the kids are formed differently than before. The new kids have computers and YouTube, they already are participating in the misma of technology, they don't have the old memories of the before computer times to fall back into.

Fair point but for me the kid part was never really about being offline, it was more about having no audience. I'm saying we need to go back to how we felt when we did things just for ourselves, with no nody watching. And I feel kids today need adults to leave some room for it.

You only have 12 months after filing the provisional application to get the full patent application in. You might not need a cofounder, but you definitely need a plan with a timeline.

If it's a choice between being too slow, losing the market timing and the provisional patent protections or finding a co-founder, then find a cofounder. Is it more work to find the cofounder vs develop it yourself? You can try posting a linkedIn job ad for a cofounder, someone found me that way, and yes it was upfront about the salary situation but there are people out there who might be in the right circumstances to take you up on what you can bring to the table.

What about app Thimble? I used it to get a 2 day policy to take my LED globe and viewing portal to an earth day festival. It's not a robot but it's fancy electronics and the event required a policy.

Both you and I are, like I said, a sample size of one. You're drawing conclusions generalizing your 5 day experience looking for one type of work to an entire industry. He may not be in the same field you were looking for, or a different geographic reality. I also didn't say they weren't swamped with work, their schedule is full regardless, but that it's the lowest demand they've seen in a while.

HOA's are probably racing to hand these companies money for doing this. CA has somewhat defanged the HOA by limiting the ability to fine, but they still allow undefined health and safety fines. What can be done to stop the madness while keeping the perks? It would be good to detect misplaced batteries before trucks catch on fire.

yeah that's definitely scientist. The two are easy to conflate since they both deal with manipulating reality to make it do things we want, but science focuses on understanding the reality itself and engineering focuses on getting it to do what we want.

Still seems like the same driving force of curiosity behind both, but one wants to know and one wants to do. It's like yin and yang, like two sides of the same coin.

I'm into engineering because I want to create what's never existed.

Science is more about discovering what already exists.
